Medicine taught me to look closely.
Photography taught me to look differently.

I spend my professional life looking through medical scopes. In my own time, I look through a different lens.

I am a gynaecologist and obstetrician by profession, and a photographer by passion. My fascination with photography began when I was about eight years old, with a simple toy camera in my hands and an instinct to capture the world around me.

That curiosity has stayed with me ever since. Photography gives me the chance to slow down, observe, and preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed — the changing light in a landscape, the character of a place, the expression on a face, or simply the beauty hidden in everyday life.

Medicine has taught me to look closely. Photography has taught me to look differently.

I particularly enjoy photographing nature and people, although I am much happier staying behind the camera than standing in front of it. For me, photography is not about creating the perfect image. It is about noticing something worth remembering and keeping a little piece of that moment.
